Whether you’re a Financial Controller looking for an opportunity where you can make a positive impact, or an aspiring Administration Assistant looking for the first step on the career ladder, using an agency, such as Midas Recruitment, can positively enhance your job search.
That all sounds great, doesn’t it?
But, if you haven’t used a recruiter to support your job search in the past, we understand that the process can be a mystery (and it can be nerve-wracking getting in touch). This is why we have put together a guide to help demystify the role of a recruitment agency in your job search and show you how a recruitment agency works.
A recruitment agency supports both candidates and employers, acting as an intermediary between the two and simplifying the job search and hiring process.
There are many advantages to using a recruiter. Not only do we strengthen your search and provide access to vacancies that sometimes aren’t accessible on traditional job boards, but we provide tailored support and interview guidance. To discover the full list of benefits, take a look at this blog post.
As a candidate, there is no fee associated with the services provided. We are simply here to help you find your next role and to offer our insights and guidance along your job search journey. Our fee comes from an employer when you’ve started your new job!
We work in two ways.
Either our established network of employers reaches out to us to support their search for a new member of the team, or we are contacted by job seekers who are looking to embark on a fresh challenge. It’s then our job to match the perfect candidate with the perfect job.
When an employer reaches out to us to support their search, we will:
• Advertise our roles on our website, social media sites, and traditional job boards;
• Search our extensive candidate database; and
• Source candidates by networking and using sourcing tools on job boards.
We will then reach out to relevant candidates who match the needs of the employer. If a candidate’s details are already on our database, we will brief them on the vacancy, if their details aren’t on our database, we will arrange a short registration call to ensure compliance and then brief them on the vacancy. If the vacancy sounds of interest, we will then submit candidate CVs to the employer.
When a job seeker reaches out to support their search, we will:
• Arrange a call to better understand what a candidate is looking for in their next role;
• Search our current vacancies to see if any match their requirements; and
• Add their details to our database to be notified of suitable vacancies.
If we have a suitable vacancy, we will arrange a registration call to submit their details. If we don’t have a suitable vacancy, we will gather the necessary information that will enable us to contact them when a suitable vacancy does arise.
There are many ways to apply for a job through Midas Recruitment!
We would recommend heading to our jobs page and submitting your application there. This will automatically add your details directly to our database and create an account for you. Alternatively, you can apply through one of the job boards we use to advertise our jobs, or you can follow our social media pages which are often updated with our hot jobs!
To register, simply submit your CV by applying to one of our jobs or sending your CV directly to us. If we have a relevant vacancy, we will ask you to complete our Candidate Declaration and send your Right to Work details to us, we will then arrange a registration call to verify your identity, better understand your requirements, and brief you on our vacancies.
If any of the current vacancies are of interest, your details will be submitted to our clients and we will support you throughout the process. If we don’t quite have the right vacancy for you at the moment, we will store your details and notify you of new positions as and when they arise.
If you’re selected for an interview, we will notify you and arrange a time for you to meet with your prospective employer. You can then expect a call from us so we can run through interview hints and tips and answer any questions you may have. After the interview, we will gather the employer’s thoughts and feedback to you.
If you secure a new job, we will handle the job offer, confirm start date and salary, and ensure your contract is sent to you. We want to make sure you get the be support, so if you need us, even after you’ve started your new job, you can always come back to us for guidance.
